JEE Main 2026 Result Session 1: Final Answer Key, Scorecard, Toppers List to Be Released Soon by NTA
JEE Main 2026 Result : The NTA has released the official schedule of result of JEE Main 2026 in its information bulletin. According to the announcement, the result of the Session 1 is expected to be announced by 16 February 2026, and the result of the Session 2 may be announced by 20 April 2026.
The test is going to be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 will take place on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 2026 and and Session 2 will commence on April 2 to April 9, 2026.
Candidates will be in a position to get their scorecards on the official site jeemain.nta.nic.in by using application number and usernames. The scorecard will include the personal information, marks in subjects, percentile marks and the overall results. The final scorecard will also be sent to students on the email address they are registered in.

JEE Main Result 2026 Highlights
The National Testing Agency is responsible for releasing the official JEE Main 2026 results. The JEE Main 2026 exam consists of two sessions per JEE Main; the JEE Advanced will be held separately for qualified candidates. JEE Main Result 2026: Expected JEE Main Cut Off 2026 (Category Wise)
On 16 February 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the outcome of the JEE Main 2026 Session 1. Nevertheless, the official cutoff marks of JEE Main 2026 have not been announced yet. Those students who attended the exam are awaiting the cutoff to know whether they qualify to pass through JEE Advanced and get an opportunity to join the top institutes.
Until the official announcement of the cutoff, students may make reference to the expected cutoff prepared in reference to trends of the past few years and the general level of difficulty of the exam. These are just figures to be used as a reference but not the end-cut off to be issued by NTA.

JEE Main 2026 Rank List
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also publish the JEE Main 2026 rank list along with the final JEE Main Result 2026. The candidates can also verify their rank information on their scorecard. This ranking will be done using the normalized percentile score in the exam. The students will also be granted their All India Rank (AIR) and the category-wise rank.
Temporary marks vs rank table is often drawn with the data, trends of the previous years in order to provide understanding on how marks can be converted to rank to the students who desire to know about it. This is not binding information. The real position would be determined by the number of candidates to appear, level of difficulty of the exam and the actual normalization of process adopted by NTA.

JEE Main 2026 Reservation Policy
In the case of admissions in 2026 using the JEE Main, the official reservation requires by the Government of India are applied to the central government institutions. Some seats are specifically separated to allow equality in education to all students.

JEE Main 2026 Counselling Process
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will carry out the counselling process of JEE Main 2026 to secure a seat in the best engineering institutes in India. JEE Advanced results are announced and then, on the basis of the results of the examination, those who have passed will be allowed to undergo the JoSAA counselling.
The counselling process in this case is as follows:
- The successful candidates will have to register themselves first on the official JoSAA portal.
- Upon registration, the students must carefully choose their favorite colleges and branches.
- The candidates are required to fix their options within the stipulated deadline.
- JoSAA will then release the seat allotment outcome in terms of rank, category and preferences.
- After a seat is assigned, students need to report to the given institute within the given time to verify the admission.
The JoSAA counselling is normally done in six rounds. Registration should be done only once, but the students are free to make or change their selection according to their preferences, before each round.
JEE Main 2025 Toppers List: 24 Students Achieve 100 Percentile
There were 24 successful candidates who got a 100 percentile in JEE Main 2025 in various states in India. The highest number of the top scorers was achieved in Rajasthan, with seven students having a perfect score.
Maharashtra, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh came with 3 and 3 toppers respectively and West Bengal had two students among 100 percentile scorers.
Two female candidates were also rated at the top percentile of 100 percentile – Devdutta Majhi of West Bengal and Sai Manogna Guthikonda of Andhra Pradesh, which shows that females have had a good representation among the high scorers in this year.
